Colorado Technology Ventures, LLC, is a growing, Colorado operating, consulting, and investment company, founded in 2009 by Eben Johnson, chartered to help commercialize new, product-related technologies, and to help entrepreneurs, early-stage ventures, and investors launch, build, and grow successful companies.
Eben Johnson, Founder and President of Colorado Technology Ventures, has over 20 years of global, senior sales and marketing, product development, finance, corporate strategy, M&A, manufacturing, and supply-chain experience in both start-ups and large, multi-national companies, commercializing new, product-related technologies. Previously, Eben was CEO of Thomas Engine Company, VP of Sales and Marketing at Raybestos, Inc., Director of Global Sales and Marketing at VAIREX Corporation, and Director of Light-Duty Markets at Cummins, Inc. At Cummins, Eben conceived of and launched Cummins Emissions Solutions, now a very profitable $1.5B+ division of Cummins. In 2009, Eben received the USCA Best of Boulder award for excellence in Sales & Marketing, and in 1991, received a Commendation from the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Committee for Excellence in Operations and Procurement.
Eben is also active in the entrepreneurial programs at the University of Colorado and Colorado State University. Each of the teams Eben has coached and mentored have won awards and funding.

Eben holds a BS in Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University, and an MBA with focus on Alternative Energy from the University of California, Davis. Eben is also a faculty member in the College of Engineering at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He teaches Marketing and High-Tech Ventures to students in the Engineering Management Program. His publications include graduate and undergraduate cost accounting textbooks. Finally, Eben is the founder and manager of the Hybrid Electric Truck and Bus Group on LinkedIn.
